STIR FRIED CABBAGE / KOBIS GORENG


Simple yet delicious. The combination of cabbage, carrot, green peas and young corn made this dish superb. 

STIR FRIED CABBAGE

1/4 head cabbage - cut across into pieces about 1/2 wide
1/2 cup green peas
1/2 young corn - cut crosswise
1/2 carrot - julienned
1/2 cup shrimps shelled
½ tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
3 clove garlic- chopped
1 tbsp corn flour
1/2 cup chicken stock 
2 tbsp light soya sauce 
1 tbsp vegetable oil

  1. Mix 1/2 stock, salts, pepper, sauce and corn flour.
  2. Heat oil in skillet and saute the garlic for a few seconds before crumbling in the shrimps. Stir fry for 2 -3 minutes
  3. Add the balance 1/2 of the stock, stir cover and reduce the heat to low.
  4. Add in carrot, sweet corn and cabbage.
  5. Simmer for 5 minutes, stir the sauce ingredients and mix well.
  6.  Add in green peas. Turn up the heat a little and stir for 1 minute or until the sauce thickened and coated all the vegetables.

Saya suka kobis yang digoreng simple dan yang paling saya suka ialah memasak ala Cina menggunakan bawang putih dan stok. Kombinasi karot, kacang peas dan jagung muda menampakkan keceriaan pada sayur ini. Biasanya kalau saya goreng sayor ini saya ratah begitu aje, sedap, rapuh dan manis.
