APAM BERAS VERSION II / APAM BERAS VESI II


This is the second version of Apam Beras, without using "tapai", yeast or even "ENO". I found this recipe from Happyflour. com. I have been trying to make my Apam smile, but I failed. The moment I saw this from Happyflour, I told myself that I should give a try. It's quite unique, the first recipe of Apam Beras that skipped the fermentation process. Hoping to get a big "smile" but it disappointed me, this Apam still stingy with it's smile. Anyway it's taste yummy, soft and fluffy. For a change, give a try, and for those who are quite reluctant to wait for the fermentation process, this recipe suit you.

INGREDIENTS

200g rice flour/200 g tepung beras
75g cake flour / 75 g tepung kek SRF
330g water / 330 g air
130g sugar / 130 g gula
3tsp double-action baking powder / 3 sdt double action baking powder

any food colouring of your choice / warna pilihan

Steps:
1. Mix all the ingredients together until well blended and sugar dissolved./ Campurkan semua bahan sehingga sebati dan gula hancur.
2. Add in colouring and stir until well mix. / Masukkan perwarna dan kacau rata
3. Pour batter into a lined cupcake mould till 90% full. / Tuangkan adunan kedalam acuan 90% penuh.
4. Steam in a preheated steamer for 25mins./ Kukus selama 25 minit.
5. Remove from mould and cool it on a wire rack./ Keluar dari acuan dan sejukkan.

Versi kedua Apam Beras ini agak unik. Saya ambil resipi ini dari Happyflour.com. Pertama kali membuat Apam Beras, tanpa  tapai, tanpa yeast, tanpa ragi tanpa ENO dan tanpa pemerapan. Heran Bin Ajaibkan, tapi itulah hakikatnya. Saya mencuba resipi ini dengan harapan kali ini Apam ini akan tersenyum lebar dan mekar, tapi sayang saya gagal lagi. Dalam gambar yang ditunjukkan oleh Happyflour Apam ini tersenyum cantik. Tak tahu di mana silapnya. Apa pun Apam ini sedap, lembut macam original resipi, cuma bezanya disebabkan ianya tidak ada proses pemerapan maka bau dan rasa masam tu tak adalah. Kepada yang malas nak membuat proses pemerapan, resipi ini sesuai untuk anda.
