This is another Thai Street Food that I love. After learning how to make all sort Thai curry paste, I find it thrill to try all my favorite dishes. This one dish meal is real simple and fantastic especially when you are not in the mood of cooking so many dishes for dinner or lunch. Try this, you are sure to love it. Recipe adapted from Tan-Kitchen.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 gs chicken, cut into well pieces (or prawns, pork, beef)/ 400 g isi ayam/daging
- 200 gs string beans, cut into 1" long (other vegetables can also be used, such as carrot, cabbage, broccoli, etc.) / 200 g kacang panjang dipotong 1" panjang boleh juga digunakan lobak merah, kobis atau brokoli
- 2 kaffir lime leaves, sliced thinly / 2 helai daun limau purut dihiris nipis
- 3 tbsp red curry paste / 3 sdb pes kari merah Thai
- 3 tbsp fish sauce / 3 sdb sos ikan
- 1 tbsp sugar / 1 sdb gula
- coriander leaves ( for garnishing ) / daun ketumbar untuk hiasan
- Heat oil in a wok over medium heat, then add red curry paste./ Panaskan minyak dan tumis pes kari merah.
- Stir fry until aromatic. / Goreng sehingga naik baunya
- Add chicken and stir fry until nearly cooked (about 3-5 minutes)./ Masukkan ayam dan masak hingga ayam agak empuk
- Then add string beans (or vegetables that you choose), fish sauce and sugar. / Masukkan kacang panjang, sos ikan dan gula
- Stir fry until vegetables nearly cooked, then add sliced kaffir lime leaves, / Masak hingga kacang agak empuk dan akhir sekali masukkan daun limau purut.
- and stir fry for another 30 seconds./ Biarkan lagi 3- saat.
- Transfer to a serving dish. / padamkan api dan hidang.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately with hot steamed rice.

Satu lagi sajian jalanan Thai yang menjadi kegemaran saya. Gai Pad Prik King ini menggunakan pes kari merah. Ringkas dan mudah dibuat. Sesuai jika mood memasak itu agak kurang. Bahan yang digunakan mudah dan cara memasaknya pun mudah. Enak dimakan bersama nasi panas dan sambal belacan.
