MINI DOUGHNUT / MINI DONUT


This is the recipe from from My Kitchen Snippets using bread flour. This is my second attempt. my first attempt I made by using the dough from my Deep Fried Bread. The texture of the doughnut was quite heavy however this mini donuts had a fluffy, cake-like texture that left everyone begging for more.

INGREDIENTS

200 gram of bread flour / 200 g tepung roti
20 gram sugar / 20 g gula
½ tsp salt / 1/2 sdt garam
1 tsp dry yeast / 1 sdt yis kering
140 ml milk / 140 ml susu
20 gm butter / 20 g mentega
Caster sugar for coating / gula caster untuk salut


  1. Put all the dry ingredients like flour, sugar, salt and yeast in the mixing bowl. Mix until combined. / Campurkan semua bahan kering sehingga betul-betul bersatu
  2. Turn on the mixer attached with dough hook. Turn on the mixer and slowly drizzle in the milk. Knead until dough comes together and add in the butter. Continue kneading until the dough is smooth (if the dough is too soft add a bit more flour)/ Pasangkan mixer hook dan perlahan-lahan masukkan susu. Uli sampai rata dan masukkan mentega.
  3. Cover and let the dough rest until double in size. Roll out the dough to about ¼” thick and cut into desire shapes. Cover the cut donuts and let it rest again until double in size./ Tutupkan dough dan rehatkan sehingga dough naik dua kali ganda. Bentukkan dough mengikut citarasa masing-masing. 
  4. Heat up the oil for deep frying. Fry the donuts over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Remove and drain oil on paper towel. / Panaskan minyak dangoreng donut sehingga kekuningan, Angkat dan toskan.
  5. Let it cool down and coat it with sugar./ Biarkan sejuk dan salut dengan gula.

Kali pertama saya membuat donut ini saya menggunakan sebahagian dari adunan roti goreng saya. Sonut yang dihasilkan agak berat sedikit dari segi tekturnya. Kali ini saya menggunakan resipi dari mykitchensnippets, alhamdulillah tekturnya agak ringan dan cantik. Boleh bentukkan dengan bentuk kegemaran anda,
