This simple dessert or so called "kuih" is made of special flour called "hong kue" or green peas flour. Popular among the Indonesia. Originally this kuih is filled with banana and known as "Nagasari". I am making a variation to this kuih by replacing banana with sweet corn. Suitable for tea, it's creamy, soft and tasty.

INGREDIENTS
1 packet Hong Kue flour / 1 paket tepung Hong Kue
3/4 cup sugar / 3/4 cawan gula
4 cups coconut milk / 4 cawan santan
pinch of salts / secubit garam
1/2 can sweet corn / 1/2 tin jagung manis
sufficient banana leaves / daun pisang secukupnya
PREPARATION
- Combine all ingredients and bring to boil at lower heat until mixture thicken./Campurkan semua bahan dan kacau atas api kecil sehingga adunan pekat. Angkat dan padamkan api.
- Spoon mixture in banana leaves and fold like parcel./ Sudukan adunan ke dalam daun pisang yang dilayur dan balut seperti membuat lepat pisang.
- Ready to serve./Sedia dihidang.

Tergoda tgk hong kue jagung tu....sedapnya...balik umah mak nak cuba buat...sebb kat umah mak ada byk daun pisang...hehehe
wah..kak..daun pisang dah habis wat koci semalam..nampak sedap sangat..tapi wat dalam bekas lain pun boleh gak kot...
Salam Lin, sedap dengan daun pisang tapi pakai plastik pun boleh, acuan comel2 pun boleh, sedap kuih ni. Kak suka kalau masuk fridge biar sejuk.
