Cucur Udang or Prawn fritter is a favourite's Malay breakfast or teatime menu. There are few variations of cucur udang, some with shrimp top on the batter, some with oblong size, and some like I'm sharing now, small size balls. You can serve cucur udang in many ways, you can serve with fried tofu and cucumber or just serve by itself. As for the sauce....anything goes but the popular cucur udang sauce are peanut sauce or chili sauce. I love to have my cucur udang with left over curry or asam pedas.
I normally made my own batter...for a big family like mine, it's best to make my own batter however this morning I used the ready mix Adabi cucur udang,...well it's in my lucky draw hamper so I used it....anyway it's tasty. To have extra impact I added fresh shrimps, bean sprout, slice onions and chive. Wow..it's good, serve with chili sauce...a double dose impact for this Happy Tuesday
