SIMPLE SATURDAY BREAKFAST - MASHED BANANA PANCAKE

I'm taking the girls out for movie twilight saga - BREAKING DAWN today, it's almost a week it has been viewing in the cinema, so likelihood will be less crowd. That's the trick..no rushing..taking our own sweet time and enjoying the movie. Kitchen will be closed today...I dont plan to cook anything...the children got the breakfast done...a simple one...my eldest made the mashed banana pancake and the youngest made Tuna croissant. I really washed my hands today. It's school holiday NO EXCUSE for them, umi is taking a day off from the kitchen so....they got  to roll their sleeve and get the breakfast done.

Banana Pancake
1 cup self-raising flour
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 1/4 cup milk
1 egg beaten lightly
20 g butter melted
2 tbsp chocolate rice
1 medium size banana mashed

1. Sift the flour, into a large bowl.

2. Put the 20 g butter in a small bowl and melt in microwave and then set aside.

3. In a separate bowl, combined the egg, milk. melted butter, mashed banana and stir with a fork.

4. Stir flour mixture into the banana mixture, the mixture will be slightly lumpy but this is okey. Add in the chocolate rice

5. Heat a large non-stick pan. Pour 1/4 cup of mixture at a time into the pan, allowing room to spread. Cook until small holes appear in the suface, turn pancakes, cook until browned.

6. Remove the pancake from pan and cover to keep warm, repeat with the remaining batter.

7.Serve the pancakes with butter and honey, or your favourite syrup.

8. Serve hot !

You will need at least 20 minutes to make this recipe, 10 minutes preparation time and 10 minutes cooking.

So that's Ayu's Mashed Banana Pancake....cooking is easy and fun....!!!!!

GOODMORNING! I COME FROM GREECE MY NAME IS VIVI AND I LIKED THIS RECIPE!!! I WANT TO ASK YOU WHAT IS CHOCOLATE RICE. IS THE ONE OF KELLOGS THAT WE FIND IN SUPERMARKET;

Hello anonymous...I'm glad you like the recipe...it's really fluffy, soft and dense. The chocolate rice here is a chocolate sprinkles that we used to decorate cakes or cupcakes...here in Malaysia we called it chocolate rice...it resembles rice grain. It's not the kellog's want..kellog's chocolate rice is to big and normally we make chocolate bar. You can omit that if you can't find one. Happy trying
