When come to vegetables I always prefer Chinese style. It's simple, less ingredients and most importantly it's always fresh and crunchy. Bok Choy is one of my favorites. This is my recipe for Stir-Fried Bok Choy with Garlic.
INGREDIENTS
Approximately 200 grammes of bok choy (wash and rinse)/ 200 gm Bok Choy
5 cloves garlic (chopped) / 5 ulas bawang putih - dicincang
1 tablespoon of cooking oil (palm oil preferred) - 1 tbsp minyak masak
PREPARATION
- Heat oil in wok and stir-fry the garlic and continue stir-frying till garlic begin to brown. Add bok choy and stir-fry for another 15 seconds or so. / Panaskan minyak. Tumis bawang putih sehingga kekuningan. Masukkan Bok Choy dan masak 15 saat. Jangan terlalu lama.
- Cook bok choy according to how soft you want the stems to be. Add a little water if you wish to have more gravy and add salt to taste (if not already salty)./ Masak mengikut kesukaan masing-masing. Masukkan air jika perlu. Masukkan garam secukup rasa.
Bila memasak sayur, pilihan saya ialah cara masakan Cina, Ringkas, kurang bahan dan yang penting sentiasa segar dan ranggup. Bok Choy adalah salah satu daripada favorite saya dan biasanya saya goreng bawang putih aje. Memang sedap dan ranggup. Enak dimakan dengan nasi panas-panas.
