AYAM GORENG BERLADO - A TASTE OF PADANG

Nothing compares to eating a plate of rice with ayam goreng berlado, petola soup and tuna omelette. An awesome combinations that scorch your socks off. Ayam Berlado is a famous Padang food and is my family No:1, favourite. One whole chicken will never be enough. Very simple dish yet fantastic.

 
 
 

AYAM GORENG BERLADO RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
1 whole chicken cut into 8 / 1 ekor ayam potong 8
2 tbsp turmeric powder / 2 sdb serbuk kunyit
1 tbsp salts / 1 sdb garam
sufficient to fry chicken / minyak secukupnya untuk menggoreng ayam

Marinade the chicken with turmeric powder and salts. Deep fry chicken till cooked or brown. Put aside./ Lumur ayam dengan garam kunyit. Goreng hingga masak. Letak sebelah.

The Sambal Ingredients
15 fresh red chilies/15 biji cili hidup
2 large onions / 2 biji bawang besar.
1/2 cup oil / 1/2 cawan minyak
salts to taste / garam secukup rasa

Seeded the cili and crushed together with onions / Cili dibuang biji dan tumuk kasar bersama bawang besar.

Heat up oil, saute the chilies and onions till fragrant. Add salts to taste and keep stirring until the sambal is done. Top to the fried chicken and ready to serve. / Panaskan minyak dan tumis cili dan bawang besar yang ditumbuk kasar tadi. Masukkan garam secukup rasa, kacau sehingga sambal masak dan lumurkan ke atas ayam goreng tadi. Sedia dihidang.

Kombinasi Ayam Goreng Berlado, Sup Petola dan Telur Dadar Tuna adalah satu kombinasi lauk yang amat menyelerakan. Ayam Berlado adalah antara Padang Top 10 menu. Membuatnya mudah dan rasanya enak sekali. Kalau tak percaya cubala untuk menu tengah hari esok.
