SUP PETOLA BEBOLA IKAN

 

I love this soup, simple yet healthy. I don't what they called it in English but the scientific word is "luffa". Add in fish balls, potatoes and beaten eggs made this marvelous.Typically used in stir-fries and soups, this gourd has a slightly spongy texture and a mildly sweet flavor. It contains amounts of calcium, phosphorus, iron, vitamin A, B and C.  

INGREDIENTS
2 ridge or angled gourd(luffa/loofah), peeled and cut the flesh to bite size/2 batang petola, buang kulit dan potong bulat.
3 potatoes halved / 3 biji ubi kentang belah dua
1 carrot, cut diaganol / 1 karotgaram secukup rasa
 potong menyerong
1 tomato sliced thinly / 1 biji tomato potong nipis-nipis
1 leek cut 1" / 1 leek potong 1"panjang
2 cloves garlic, lightly crushed/ 2 ulas bawang putih dicincang
1 tbsp sesame oil / 1 sdb minyak bijan
2 tbsp cooking oil / 2 sdb minyak masak
2 bowl chicken stock / 2 mangkok stok ayam
1 packet glass noodles soak / 1paket suon direndam
1 egg beaten / 1 biji telur dipukul
dash of pepper / serbuk lada
salts to taste / garam secukup rasa


PREPARATION

Heat some  oil in a pot. When heated, add the garlic, fry till fragrant. Add the chicken stock and potatoes. Cooked until potatoes tender. rot Add in leeks carrot, and luffa and allow soup mixture to simmer at low-medium heat till loofah softens and cooks through.  Pinch of salt and white pepper to taste. Add in fish balls and finally add in beaten egg and stir constantly like doing egg drops, Add in sesame oil, suon and tomato. Sim for another 5 minutes and remove from heat. ready to serve with chopped spring onions and fried shallots./ Panaskan minyak dan tumis bawang putih sehingga naik baunya. Masukkan stok ayam dan ubi kentang. Masak hingga ubi empuk, masukkan karot, leeks, bebola ikan, petola, garam dan lada. Masak hingga empuk. Masukkan suon dan minyak bijan. Renehkan selama 5 minit masukkan telur sambil dikacau ,dan padamkan api. Angkat dan hias dengan daun bawang dan bawang goreng.

Sup sihat yang tidak perlu pengenalan, ramai yang tahu, ramai yang suka dan ramai yang pandai memasaknya. Sebut aje petola kita dah boleh membayangkan apa yang hendak dimasak. Kebiasaanya dimasak bersama bebola ikan dan suon, bahan-bahan lain adalah mengikut citarasa masing-masing. Sedap dimakan dengan nasi panas bersama apa-apa sambal.

salam..ish2 sedapnyer kak paty..saya suka sup2 cam ni..mkn panas2 dgn nasi..tak pun mkn cam tu jer..pun sedap jugak..sesuai lah utk org yg berdiet..

Salam Iza, sup ini memang sesuai untuk yang suka meratah dan menghirup. Akak pun macam tu juga nasi tak boleh makan banyak2 so hirup aje la.
