APAM MEKAR V2 /BLOSSOM STEAM CAKE V2

I made this last week, I made it again, and this time around without the Kaya as the filling. This Apam Mekar V2 - version 2 is plain without filling. I ran this recipe from Dapur Ipoek, an Indonesia Food Blogger. Interesting to note that this recipe is famous in Indonesia and almost every blogs that I visited has this recipe.
One thing good, this kuih can last  for l -2 days. You can play around with the color. The original instructions was two color, the base should be white and the top with chocolate mocha color. All depend on your preference.
The texture of the cake is just like chiffon, very soft.


APAM MEKAR V2  aka BOLU NCC- Source Dapur Ipoek
INGREDIENTS
1 egg /1 butir telur ukuran besar
115 g sugar /115 gr gula pasir
125 g flour /125 gr tepung gandum, ayak
1/2 tsp double action baking powder /1/2 sdt baking powder double acting
1/2 tsp ovelette / 1/2 sdt ovelette
75 ml evaporated milk / 75 ml susu cair
 
  1. Heat up steamer and ensure you have sufficient water /Panaskan dandang kukusan. Pastikan airnya cukup banyak agar menghasilkan uap yang banyak dan panas.
  2. Insert cupcakes papers in mold /Alasi cetakan bolu kukus dengan cup kertas.
  3. Combine all ingredients and whisk by using mixer for 10 minutes till fluffy /Campur semua bahan dalam mangkuk . Pukul selama 10 minit sampai lembut dan mengembang
  4. Divide mixture into 3 portion and colored according to your choice / Bahagi adunan kepada tiga dan warnakan ikut warna kegemaran anda.
  5. Pour nixture into mold. Make it layer by layer /Masukan adunan berselang seli dalam acuan.
  6. Steam for - 10 -15 minutes/ Kukus selama 15 minit.

Apam Mekar ini adalah versi kedua dimana untuk kali ini saya tidak meletakkan serikaya sebagai intinya. Resipi ini saya ambil dari Dapur Ipoek, blogger masakan dari Indonesia. Nama asalnya di Indonesia ialah Bolu NCC dan warna asal yang digunakan ialah putih dan coklat. Rasanya sama seperti Apam Mekar V1. Anda boleh bermain dengan warna untuk resipi ini.
