A HEALTHY WAY TO START A DAY - KIWI SMOOTHIE / SMOOTHIE KIWI

I got a packet of KIWI from a friend of mine. It's my favorite fruit. Kiwi is perfect for smoothies and desserts. Kiwi fruits are rich in many Vitamins, flavonoids and minerals. In particular, they contain a high amount of Vitamin C (more than oranges), as much potassium as bananas and a good amount of beta-carotene. I made two type of smoothies for breakfast one with yogurt and the other one without. You should try these, really refreshing !!!!
INGREDIENTS

(serves 2)

2 kiwis / 2 biji buah kiwi

2 apples / 2 biji epal
1/2 half lime / 1/2 limau
1 medium size cup of orange juice / 1 biji oren size sederhana
1 cup yogurt/ 1 cawan yogurt
ice cubes / ketul ais (optional)
2 tbsp honey / 2 sdn madu


Peel the kiwis and the apples and slice them. Make sure you core the apples. Place the slices of kiwi and apples inside the blender. Squeeze the lime into the blender and add the orange juice milk, honey and yogurt. Blend until smooth and the serve./ Kupas kiwi dan epal masukkan ke dalam blender. Campurkan jus limau , jus oren, madu dan yogurt. Blend sehingga hancur dan licin.

Green Gulp (Or Honeydew Kiwi Smoothie)

I wanted to use real fruit in a drink that was lighter than a smoothie, but more satisfying than simple juice. To do this, I whirled honeydew melon, kiwifruit, lime juice and agave nectar in a blender and voila! Green Gulp.


Honeydew and kiwi are excellent sources of vitamin C and both supply potassium to replenish lost electrolytes in the case of excessive perspiration. Agave nectar, made from the cactus plant and sold at natural food stores, is much sweeter than sugar, so you need only a touch. For extra refreshment, you can freeze the melon before pureeing it, and whirl a few mint leaves into this tall, green drink.

2 cups cubed honeydew melon, frozen or well-chilled

1 ripe kiwi, peeled and sliced
2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice

1 Tbsp. agave nectar (or honey)
2 mint sprigs, optional, for garnish




In blender, whirl melon, kiwi, lime juice and sweetener until smoothly blended. If using frozen melon, divide smoothie between 2 tall, narrow glasses. If using chilled melon, pour the smoothie into glasses,

Saya memang terfikir hendak membeli buah KIWI ni nak buat panna cotta. Terasa teringin sangat. Tapi entah macam mana bagai pucuk dicipta ulam mendatang tiba-tiba saya mendapat 1 paket buah ini dari kawan. Apa lagi terus buat resipi favorite saya panna cotta dan kiwi smoothie untuk breakfast pagi. Anak-anak apa lagi bukan main suka lagi, mana taknya biasanya kalau sarapan pagi tak MILO, Teh, mungkin dah jemu kot.


Memang sedap, boleh diolah dengan berbagai cara, menggunakan yogurt atau biarkan ia plain sahaja. Lebih enak dicampur dengan buah-buahan lain seprti epal, strawberry, oren, honey dew dan pisang. Kebetulan dirumah ada epal dan honey dew balance dari dessert Mi Gua Xi Mi Lu saya buat dua resipi yang berlainan. Satu dengan epal dan satu lagi dengan honey. Menu ini memang punyai khasiat yang tinggi dan kayu dengan vitamin C. Rasanya ini merupakan sajian yang sihat pembukaan pagi yang ceria anda. - ENJOY ya!!!
