BABY CABBAGE WITH OYSTER SAUCE


Baby Cabbage With Oyster Sauce

When come to cooking vegetables, I always prefer the Chinese Styles. Baby Cabbage with Oyster Sauce is one of my favorite. This dish is perfect for everyday meals and elegant enough for occasions.


INGREDIENTS
9 baby cabbage, wash, blanch and drain/ 9 baby cabbage basuh celur dan toskan
1/2 cup fresh shrimps/ 1/2 cawan udang hidup
5 dried mushroom - soak and slice / 5 keping cendawan kering - rendam dan potong
5 cloves garlic - pounded/ 5 ulas bawang putih tumbuk.
The Seasoning
5 tbsp oyster sauce/ 5 sdb sos tiram
1 tbsp light soya sauce/ 1 sdb kicap cair
1 tsp pepper/ 1 sdt lada sulah
1/2 cup chicken stalk/ 1/2 cawan stalk ayam
1 tbsp cornstarch/ 1sdb tepung jagung

Mix all ingredients and put aside./ Campurkan semua dan letak sebelah.

METHOD
  1. Arrange the blanch cabbage in circle./ Susun sayur mengikut bulatan ke dalam pinggan
  2. Heat up oil and saute garlic till brown and fragrant. Add in shrimps and dried mushroom. Stir fry for a while and add in seasoning Keep strirring until slightly thick. Pour onto cabbage. Ready to serve./ Panaskan minyak dan tumiskan bawang putih sehingga naik bau dan kekuningan. Masukkan udang hidup dan cendawan kering. Kacau sebentar dan masukkan bahan seasoning. Biar pekat sedikit, padamkan api dan curahkan ke atas sayur. Sedia dimakan.

Bila memasak sayur-sayuran saya lebih suka masakan cara Cina. Biasanya sayanya ranggup, segar dan menarik. Baby Cabbage Oyster Sauce adalah salah satu favorite saya, bukan saja sedap, tetapi cukup menarik untuk hidangan.
