NASI GORENG PEDAS




Nasi Goreng Pedas


Nasi Goreng Pedas is my last entry for 2010. I'm going to take a break for a while. Planning to celebrate my son's birthday in Cameroon Highland. though a bit late for a holiday at least it worth considering a family get together. It's just a one hour drive from where we stay. I love the fresh tea brew and ice peach tea there. Time to get some fresh strawberry for upcoming menu. OK back to this menu, it is my family favorite, simple and tasty especially the blended anchovies. Good for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

INGREDIENTS
4 cups rice / 4 cawan nasi
1 onion chopped / 1 biji bawang besar dimayang halus
2 scrambled eggs / 2 biji telur pecah goreng
1/2 cup chives  cut into 1 " / 1/2 cawan kucai potong 1"
2 stalk spring onions /  2 tangkai daun bawang
1/2 cup cooking oil/ 1/2 cawan minyak masak


Blended Ingredients
9 dried chilies - soak /  9 cili kering rendam
1 onion / 1 biji bawang besar
3 cloves garlic / 3 ulas bawang putih
1/2 cup anchovies / 1/2 cawan ikan bilis


Blend all ingredients - medium not too smooth / Blend semua bahan tidak terlalu halus
PREPARATIONS

  1. Heat up oil, saute chopped onions. Add in blended ingredients and stir fry until brown and fragrant. Add in salts, sugar and rice. Mix well, then add in scrambled eggs and chives. Continue stirring until rice are done. Ready to serve. Serve with egg, spring onions and cucumber /  Panaskan minyak, tumis bawang besar yang dimayang halus. Masukkan bahan yang diblend dan tumis sehingga naik bau dan garing. Masukkan nasi, garam dan gula secukup rasa. Gaul rata dan akhir sekali masukan telur dan kucai. Kacau rata sehingga nasi betul-betul masak dan garing. Angkat dan sedia dihidang. Hias dengan daun bawang timun dan telur goreng.

Nasi Goreng Pedas, merupakan menu terakhir dan menu ke 110 bagi tahun 2010. Walaupun ringkas tetapi menu ini sesuai untuk sarapan pagi, makan tengah hari mahupun makan malam. Lebih enak kalau ditabur dengan ikan bilis goreng ataupun  dimakan bersama ikan gelama masin.
