MINI MURTABAK


Before I proceed I just like to alert that this is not the AUTHENTIC murtabak menu, this is a short cut version. I got a BIG criticism from my children on this issue. They expect the ORIGINAL murtabak skin but instead I used the phyllo pastry/spring rolls skin...Ha....ha...sometimes your children can be really fussy and speak out what they want.  ....well I learned my lesson. Actually there's nothing wrong with this dish is just that my kids were really fussy when come to food. Don't ever CHANGE the ORIGINALITY of their favorites- that's the message they gave to me.

Anyway this version is very crispy and suitable as finger foods. Sides this with Onions pickles and dip with Chili Sauce, when it is hot...MAMA MIA!!!!!! it is damn delicious. Trust me and TRY this, don't ever get influence with my children choices!!!!

The recipe is simple, all you need are phyllo pastry, eggs and the fillings. Prepare the filling like you preparethe fillings of croquette- refer to my croquette entry, mix all the beef/chicken ingredient with eggs and fry like  you are frying omelette, you can do it big and cut into your choice of sizes or you can do it individually. See just that you have your Mini Murtabak!!!!!

Mini Murtabak ini adalah  resipi short cut yang saya gunakan. Kulitnya saya tidak guna kulit roti canai original sebaliknya saya guna kulit popiah. Anak lelaki saya Oden , ada mengutara satu soalan maut mengenai resipi yang menyebabkan saya terkelu tidak dapat menjawab. Soalanya apa bezanya antara Mini Murtabak ini dengan Samosa Daging yang selalu saya buat???????. Terfikir juga apa nak jawap, sebenarnya dari segi rasa memang tidak ada bezanya, tetapi nasib baik saya banyak membuat kajian tentang BITTERBALLEN dan CROQUETTE jadi jawapan saya pada Oden ialah Samosa berbentuk 3 segi manakala Mini Murtabak ini berbentuk 4 segi, itu bezanya. Samakan! jawapanya antara BITTERBALLEN AND CROQUETTE????Bitterballen berbentuk bebola bulat mana kala CROQUETTE berbentuk memanjang ha...ha......So perlu sediakan jawapan kalau ada yang tanya soalan maut ini. Sebenarnya memang betul la kata Oden kalau dah dinamakan Murtabak, lebih baik kekalkan 'AUTHENTIC" - keaslian murtabak tu!!!! maknanya lain kali kalau saya hendak membuat murtabak mereka hendakkan yang ORIGINAL!!!!!banyak songeh pula budak-budak sekarang ini.

Saya buat murtabak ini pun secara kebetulan, kebetulan, buat Kuih Cara Berlauk ada lebihan inti jadi saya guna pakai buat murtabak, kulit popiah pun ada dalam stok, jadi terhasila murtabak ini. Itulah dia cerita mini murtabak saya ini, yang mendapat tentangan hebat dari anak-anak. They were quite dissapointed, coz they expect the REAL AND AUTHENTIC murtabak. Apa pun tidak ada apa salahnya dengan menu ini, SEDAP tetap SEDAP, cuma anak-anak saya ni agak cerewet sedikit. Sajian ini sesuai untuk Breakfast dan Minum Petang.
