MEATBALL SPAGHETTI WITH MUSHROOM SOUP/SPAGHETTI BEBOLA DAGING DAN SUP CENDAWAN


Today is Tyca birthday. Since we gonna celebrate her birthday right after her final paper,which is mid December, I treat her with her favorite meal Meatball Spaghetti first. I simply took two weeks leave to attend to her, kind of a moral support from mum to her daughter. With that I got the luxurious of time to do home cooking. 


I don't really have a proper recipe on this, more often I 'agak-agak' to my taste bud. My children alway want the spaghetti with meat balls. This is the tedious part. Anyway for the sake of birthday, I rolled my sleeve and went to my Italian kitchen.




MEATBALLS




  • 1 kilo daging kisar/1 KILO DAGING KISAR
  • 1 cup fresh bread crumbs /1 cawan serbuk roti
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley/ 1 sdb daun parsley kering
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese/1 sdb keju parut Parmesan
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper/ 1/4 sdt serbuk lada hitam
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder/ 1/8 sdt serbuk bawang putih
  • 1 egg, beaten/ 1 biji telor di pukul

  1. Make the meatballs/Membuat Bebola Daging

    Combine the meat, onion, parsley, egg, parmesan, garlic, the bread mixture and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Gently mix with your hands, then shape into small balls 5cm in diameter. Put the meatballs onto a plate./Campurkan semua daging, bawang, telor, keju, bawang putih, serbuk roti, garam lada. Gaul sampai rata dan bendtukkan seperi bebola sebesar 5 cm. Letakkan bebola yang siap ini di atas pinggan.


    Brown the meatballs

    Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and, when hot, add the meatballs. Brown the meatballs on all sides, for two to three minutes, turning carefully until they are brown. Put it a side until needed./Panaskan minyak di atas api sederhana, minyak jangan banyak sangat lebih kurang 1 senduk, gorengkan berboladaging sehingga kekuning-kuningan. Tos dan ketepikan


    Cook the spaghetti

    While the meatballs are cooking, bring a large pan of salted water to the boil. I used 1 packet. Add the spaghetti and cook for about 8-10 minutes, or to taste. When the spaghetti is cooked, drain through a colander/Sementara menunggu bebola daging masak, didih air untuk memasak spagheti. Masukkan 1 packet spaghetti dan masak selama 8 -  10 minit. Masukkan garam secukup rasa. Toskan dan ketepikan.


    • Make the sauce
    1 bottle sos Prego/ 1 bottle sos spaghetti Prego
    500 gm minced beef I used Ramly minced beef/  500 gm daging kisar
    2 onion diced/ 2 labu bawah besar dicincang halus
    5 glove garlic/ 5 ulas bawang putih dicincang halus
    5 ripe tomatoes diced/ 5 biji tomato dipotong dadu halus
    5 tbsp cili paste/ 5 sdb cili giling
    5 bay leaves/ 5 helai daun salam/bays
    1 tsp dried oregano/ 1 sdt serbuk oreganohyme
    1 tsp dried thyme / 1 sdt serbuk thyme

    Remove any excess oil from the meatballs. Then add your garlic and chilli, and as soon as they start to get some colour add the large basil leaves,Prego sauce oregano and thyme. Add the tomatoes and the minced beef. Bring to the boil and season to taste./Ambil lebih kurang 1/2 senduk minyak dari gorengan bebola daging tadi. Panaskan dan tumis bawang besar, masukan bawang putih dan goreng sehingga naik bau. Masukan daun salam sos Prego, serbuk oregano, serbuk thyme. Masukan tomato yang didau kecil dan daging kisar. Masak sehingga empuk dagingnya. Masukan garam dan lada secukup rasa.
Add the meatballs to the sauce and simmer until the pasta is ready, then remove from the heat. /Akhir sekali masukkan bebola daging kedalam sos tadi masak hingga masak dan angkat dari api.

    • Serve the Spaghetti with Meatballs/Cara Penyediaan

    • Place the drained spaghetti in individual serving bowls. Spoon over the meatballs and sauce. Sprinkle with freshly grated parmesan cheese and garnish with basil./Letakkan spaghetti yang dimasak di ke dalam pinggan. Sendukkan sos dan taburkan keju parmesan.

INGREDIENTS

4 tbsp of butter,/4 sdb mentega
8 oz of mushrooms, /8 oz cendawan, saya guna cendawan butang yang fresh
1 cup thick cream/ 1 cawan krim pekat
1 tsp of salt,/1 sdt garam
1 medium sweet onion (peeled and chopped),/ 1 bawang besar dicincang
1/4 cup of flour, / 1/4 cawan tepung gandum
1/4 tsp of white pepper, / 1/4 sdt lada sulah
2 cans of chicken broth, I used Maggi chicken stock with 2 glass of water/ 2 gelas air stock ayam- saya guna 1 stok maggi campur 2 gelas air
1/8 tsp of ground nutmeg./1/8 sdt serbuk pala

METHOD


Firstly clean the mushrooms. Slice 2 ounces of mushroom and blend the balance/ Bersihkan cendawan. 2 oz di potong halus dan yang baki diblend.

Prepare a saucepan, melt 2 oz of butter, saute sliced onions until golden. Saute add in slice mushroom./ Panaskan minyak dan masukkan bawang. Tumis hingga naik bau, Kemudian masukan cendawan yang dihiris.Masukkan garam secukup rasa. Masak hingga bawang dan cendawan layu.

Melt the balance butter, add in flour, Stir and cook for about 2 minutes. Add in the saute onion and mushroom. Cook well./ Panaskan bagi mentega masukkan tepung. Masak selama 2 minit. Masukkan bawang dan cendawan yang dilayukan tadi.

Gradually add in chicken broth when stirring. Then add in thick cream. Simmer until soup are thickened. Add in nutmeg and pepper. Add seasoning to taste. Stir in heavy cream and bring to simmer over very low heat. Garnish with chopped parsley before serve./ Perlahan-lahan masukkan stok ayam sambil dikacau. Masukan krim pekat dan renehkan sehingga pekat. Masukkan lada dan serbuk pala. Masukan krim dan renehkan lagi di atas api kecil. Hias dengan daun parsley cincang sebelum dihidang

      Hari ini Tyca genap 17 tahun, angka keramat bagi seorang gadis. Memandang ulang tahun Tyca jatuh pada waktu peperiksaan SPM tidak banyak yang boleh dilakukan. Walau bagaimana bagi menghilangkan stress peperiksaan saya memasak makanan kegemaran dia Spaghetti bebola daging bersama Mushroom Soup. Buat cara mudah dengan menggunakan sos Prego. Payah bagi saya menulis resipinya kerana biasanya main campak-campak aje Bagi menyesuaikan dengan selera kita, saya masukkan sedikit cili. Jadi ada balance antara masam, manis dan pedas. Anak-anak memang suka sajian ini terutama bebola daging..
