Kuih Cara Manis |
This kuih is soft with pandan flavor. There are two version of kuih cara, the sweet cara and the savory cara. You need a special mold to prepare this kuih. Best serve at tea time menu.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups flour / 2 cawan tepung gandum
2 cup water / 2 cawan air
1 cup coconut milk / 1 cawan santan/susu cair
1 egg / 1 biji telur
1 egg / 1 biji telur
pinch of salts / secubit garam
screwpine juice / pewarna hijau/jus pandan
Sufficient sugar for filling / gula untuk intinya
METHOD
- Blend all the ingredients except sugar. Sieve and put aside./ Blend semua bahan, tapis dan letak sebelah.
- Heat up the cara pan and grease with oil, pour batter into mould. 3/4 of it, lower the heat. Spoon sugar in and pour the batter again till full. Cover the pan and let batter cook. Ready to serve./Panaskan acuan kuih cara di atas dapur gas, lengserkan sedikit minyak menggunakan berus, bila acuan dah panas, kecilkan api, masukkan adunan 3/4 penuh, sudukan gula di tengah-tengah, masukkan lagi adunan sehingga penuh acuan. Tutup acuan dengan tudung periuk, kalau boleh guna tudung periuk kaca, so boleh nampak kuih dah masak ke belum. Bakar hingga masak
