GOOD MORNING MALAYSIA, I'M BACK!!!!! TODAY BREAKFAST MENU - SAVORY OATS PORRIDGE/BUBUR OATS BEREMPAH

Good Morning Malaysia and Asalamualaikum,...I'm back after 1 week break from this blogging world. I was on a holiday with my children. It's school term break, I took them back to my home town attending a few wedding receptions and visited some interesting places. Got home yesterday and now back to normal. I'm still off until this weekend. 

Look's like I got a lot of catch up to do. Well....that's life. Today breakfast I prepared a simple meaty oats porridge. I love this so much. This is my favorite dish during the fasting month. I could said that this porridge is a short cut to the "punjabi and middle eastern" harissa and even the Malay's bubur lambok. This delectable dish serve best with any type of bread.

INGREDIENTS
2 cups of oats / 2 cawan oats
100 gm minced meat / 100 gm daging kisar
1 strand coriander leaf / 1 tangkai daun ketumbar
2 cups fresh milk / 2 cawan susu segar
2 cups water / 2 cawan air
2 tbsp ghee / 2 sdb ghee minyak sapi
1 onion- sliced thinly / 1 biji bawang besar - hiris nipis-nipis
3 cardamon / 3 biji buah pelaga
3 anise star / 3 kuntum bunga lawang
1 cinnamon stick / 1 batang kayu manis
Grinded/Pounded Ingredients
5 shallots / 5 biji bawang merah
3 cloves garlic / 3 ulas bawang putih
1 tbsp coriander powder / 1 sdb serbuk ketumbar
1 tsp fennel powder / 1 sdt serbuk jintan putih
1 tsp cumin powder / 1 sdt serbuk jintan manis
1/2 " ginger / 1/2 " halia.

Blend all to form a wet paste./Blend semua bahan menjadikan pes basah.

 PREPARATIONS

Boil 2 cups of water with minced meat, oats, anise star, cardamon and cinnamon stick. Cook until meat and oats are done. Add in blended ingredients. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add in milk and salts./ Didihkan 2 cawan air, masukkan oats, daging dan rempah kering. Masak sehingga daging empuk dan oats lembut. Lebih kurang 10 minit. Masukkan bahan giling dan kacau rata, renehkan sehingga semua bahan mesra. Kemudian masukkan susu dan garam secukup rasa.
In another saucepan heat up ghee, caramalise onions till brown. Pour the ghee and caramlised onion into the porridge. Low the heat and let simmer for another 3 minutes. Cut coriander leaf and add into the porridge. Ready to serve.Sprinkle some fried shallots and green onions/ Dalam kuali lain panaskan ghee dan tumis bawang besar sehingga garing dan kekunigan. Curahkan ghee dan bawang goreng ini kedalam bubur oats tadi, kacau rata, perlahankan api dan biarkan mesra selama 5 minit lagi. Masukkan daun ketumbar yang dihiris halus halus. Kacau sebati, padamkan api dan sedia dihidang. Taburkan bawang goreng dan daun bawang.

Salam dan selamat pagi semua!!!, kembali bersiaran selepas seminggu bercuti. Menu pagi ini mudah dan simple bubur oats berempah. Bubur ini boleh dikatakan jalan pintas bubur harissa mahupun bubur lambuk. Ramuan dan cara memasaknya sama aje. Sedap dimakan bersama roti dan sesuai sebagai sarapan pagi mahupun makan malam bagi yang ingin mengawal pemakanan nasi. Memang sedap sajian ini, saya gemar memasaknya teutama pada bulan ramadan.

baru je try resepi nihh, tpi rasenye lagi sedap kalau guna daun sup untuk gantikan daun ketumbar.
