If you have been following the 2011 Raya cookies trend you will notice that cookies coated with chocolate or white chocolate took the centre stage. This year cookies used a lot of chocolate beads and sprinkles. These white chocolate lovely was from Chef Asma adapted from SAJI- AUGUST 2011. I used white chocolate and purple sugar for the topping. The original recipe call for chocolate rice and red heart shape sugar. Cookies filled with roasted almond.
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients A
160 g butter / 160 g mentega
1/8 tsp vanilla / 1/8 sdt vanilla
60 g icing sugar / 60 g gula ising
pinch of salts / secubit garam
Ingredients B
180 g flour / 180 g tepung
15 g cocoa powder / 15 serbuk koko
25 g cornflour / 25 g tepung jagung
15 g potato starch / 15 g tepung kentang
1 1/2 tbsp milk powder / 1 1/2 sdb susu tepung
1/8 tsp baking powder / 1/8 sdt baking powder
20 g ground peanut / 20 g kacang tanah kisar
Ingredients C
90 roasted almond for filling / 90 biji badam panggang untuk dijadikan inti.
- Pre heat oven to moderate 180 C. Lightly grease oven trays / Panaskan ketuhar pada 180 C dan leserkan dulang pembakar In a large bowl using electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. /Pukul mentega dan gula sehingga kembang Fold flour/ Masukkan tepung
- Add in ingredients B and combine well/ Masukkan bahan B dan gaul rata.
- Rolls into balls. Flatten the dough and fill in the roasted almond. Seal and shape into balls / Bulatkan adunan masukkan inti badan. Bulatkan semula.
- Bake 12-15 minutes until golden. Cool on trays./ Bakar selama 12-15 minit atau sehingga kekuningan. Sejukkan dahulu sebelum dialihkan ke wire penyejuk
- Melt cooking chocolate using double boiler. Dip cookies into chocolate and sprinkle with the sugar beads beads. Insert in paper cup/Cairkan coklat masakan. Celupkan biskut dalam coklat masakan dan hiaskan dengan gula manik manik pilihan

Satu lagi cookies trend 2011, yang saya ambil dari majalah SAJI AUGUST 2011. Cookies ini adalah ilham Chef Asma. Rasanya memang trend 2011 banyak menggunakan cocolat cair dan banyak menitik beratkan hiasan menggunakan sprinkles,dan manik-manik urai. Cookies ini memang sedap, ranggup dan penuh rasa white chocolate.
