This is a very simple vegetable curry that can accompany any meal. You can have it plain white or yellow. If you prefer your masak lemak to be yellow in color, add 1 tsp of turmeric powder. This masak lemak serve best with sambal belacan and salted fish. So ENJOY
INGREDIENTS
300 g bean sprouts / 300 g taugeh
1 bunch chives - cut into 1" length / 1 genggam kucai potong 1" panjang
3 red chilies - julienne / 3 biji cili merah hiris memanjang
200 g shrimps - shelled / 200 g udang basah dibuang kulit
2 tofu - cut into big cube /2 keping tofu di potong dadu
2 cups coconut milk / 2 cawan santan pekat
2 cups water / 2 cawan air
salts to taste / garam secukup rasa
1/2 tsp chicken cube / 1/2 sdt pati ayam
- In a pot, put in all ingredients except except bean sprouts, tofu and chives. Stir continuously or your coconut milk will split.
- Next, put in the remaining ingredients.
- Add salt and sugar to taste.
- Serve hot with your sambal belacan and salted fish.
