This potato cakes serve well with Soto or as a side dish to rice and other main course. It can be eaten plain with mayo or chili sauce. this version is well-seasoned with fried shallots, green onions, minced beef and peppercorn.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 kg potato boiled and peeled skin / 1 kg kentang rebus dan buang kulit
- 250 g minced meat / 250 g daging kisar
- 1 cup fried shallots / 1 cawan bawang goreng
- 1 cup chopped green onion / 1 cawan daun bawang dan daun sup dicincang halus
- 3 tbsp cornflour / 2 sdb tepung jagung
- salts to taste / garam secukup rasa
- 1 tsp white peppercorn / 1 sdt lada sulah
- 2 beaten eggs / 2 biji telur dipukul
- sufficient oil for shallow frying / minyak secukupnya untuk menggoreng.
PREPARATIONS
1. Boiled, peeled and mashed potato. / Rebus, buang kulit dan lecek kentang
2. Add minced meat, fried shallots, chopped green onions, pepper , salts and cornflour / Masukkan daging kisar, bawang goreng, daun bawang daun sup, lada sulah dan garam.
3. Combine all / Satukan semua bahan
4. To make the patties, scoop up the potato mixture with an oiled 1/4 cup measure. Form into round flat cakes.
5. Roll in beaten eggs.
