Here's an easy pudding recipe you can make a head and chill in the fridge.
Custard Pudding Layer
What You Will Need
1/2 cup sugar
5 tsp cornstarch
1/8 tsp salt
1 3/4 cups whole milk
1/2 cup cream
1 tsp vanilla

What You Will Need
1/2 cup sugar

6 Tbs sugar
2 Tbs cornstarch
2 Tbs coco powder
pinch of salt
1 1/2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup cream
5 ounces milk chocolate
1 tsp vanilla
Make the custard pudding first:
In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch and salt, whisk in the milk and cream and bring to a boil. Whisk constantly until thick, remove from heat, return to heat and continue cooking until thick again. Let cool a couple of minutes, stir in vanilla and pour into prepared cups. Set aside

In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, cornstarch, coco powder, and salt, whisk in the milk and cream and bring to a boil whisking until thick. Remove from heat and mix in the milk chocolate,
