APAM POTONG /CUT STEAM CAKE

  

I grown up with this Apam. My mom used to make this, sometime white, sometime green and sometime white with colorful design on top. I have been searching for the recipe for quite sometime and happened to ran over Kak Rusnah Fotopage, book marked and made this recently.  This Apam serve best with grated coconut.

INGREDIENTS - Source Kak Rusnah.
Ingredients A
1 cup sugar /1 cawan gula pasir
3 1/2 cup water /  3 1/2 cawan air
screwpine leaf- knot /daun pandan disimpul
pink coloring / sedikit pewarna merah muda

Boiled until sugar dissolved, leave to cool / Masak semua bahan sehingga gula larut. Sejukkan

Ingredients B

1 1/2 tbsp dried yeast - Mauripan /  1 1/2 camca besar yeast Mauripan
1/2 cup warm water /  1/2 cawan air suam
1 tsp sugar / 1 sudu teh gula

Combine all ingredient and leave for a while / Campurkan semua bahan dan biarkan seketika
 

Ingredients C
3 cup wheat flour / 3 cawan tepung gandum
1/3 cup rice flour / 1/3 cawan tepung beras
 

PREPARATIONS

  1. Wheat the yeasted ingredients bubbles, combine with ingredients A and C / Bila bahan yeastnya dibiarkan berbuih(lebih kurang 3 -5minit) dicampurkan ke dalam tepung bersama air gula tadi. 
  2. Mix well and ferment in a tall container for at least 1 hour. Cover the container with cloth or cling wrapper / Adun sebati...kemudian perapkan ke dalam bekas yang tinggi sedikit lebih kurang 1 jam. Bekas perapan ditutup dengan kain atau PE cling wrap. 
  3. Pour mixture in the mold and steam for about 20 minutes / Tuang adunan ke dalam acuan dan dikukus .Periuk pengukus mesti disediakan dan dipanaskan terlebih dahulu. Kukus  selama 20 minit.
  4. Leave to cool before you cut / Sejukkan dahulu sebelum potong
  5. Serve with grated coconut / Hidang bersama kelapa parut.

Ringkas, mudah dan sedap, ini yang dapat saya ungkapkan tentang Apam ini, dalam kata lain tidak banyak kerenahnya. Sesuai untuk sarapan pagi atau pun minum petang. Sudah lama ingin mencuba baru dapat resipi dari halaman Kak Rusnah terus buat, alahamdulillah ok dan puas hati. Terima Kasih Kak Rusnah.
