DEEP FRIED STAFF TOFU / TOFU GORENG SUMBAT


Normally my children do not like tofu but this Deep Fried Stuff Tofu was an exception. The aroma and the taste of this Stuff Tofu swept them off their feet.There are a few version of this stuff tofu, the Malay, the Indonesian, the Thai and the Chinese style. This is the Chinese. You can also prepare some gravy for this tofu, but I love it with chili sauce. This stuff Tofu is an amazingly delicious side dish recipe. Try this tempting and alluring Deep Fried Bean Curd; I am sure you will always want to have it in your coming functions? Serve it hot, it will give a higher impact....walaaa.....


DEEP FRIED STUFF TOFU

1 packet dried tofu / 1 packet tofu kering
250 g shrimps – chopped / 250 udang hidup dicincang
1 onion chopped / 1biji bawang besar dicincang
3 clove garlic – chopped / 3 ulas bawang putih dicincang
1 red chili- chopped / 1 biji cili merah dicincang
3 strig spring onions chopped / 3 tangkai daun bawang dicincang
1 tbsp oyster sauce / 1 sdb sos tiram
Salts and sugar to taste / garam dan gula secukup rasa

  1. First, prepare the tofu.  Place the tofu in a colander and pour hot water over the top.  I think this is an important step because it refreshes the tofu and gets rid of excess oil.
  2. Slice the tofu on the diagonal then make a small incision in the center of the tofu.  Don’t make this too deep; otherwise, you will tear the tofu.  Handle the tofu gently.
  3. In a small bowl, add the chopped prawn, chopped green onions, chopped garlic, oyster sauce and the egg white.  Mix well.
  4. To stuff tofu, sometimes they remove some of the white part of the tofu to make more space for the stuffing mix.  However, I find this unnecessary and a waste.  Gently, open the slit and stuff with the prawn mix.
  5. Heat a frying pan and when hot add cooking oil, such as canola or vegetable.
  6. Place the stuffed side down in the pan to cook first.  Cover the pan and lower the heat to medium low.  Cook for a couple minutes.
Biasanya anak-anak tak makan tofu ni....tetapi kali ini lain sedikit dia orang suka...memang sedap makan panas-panas ranggup dan menyelerakan. Boleh dimakan begitu aje atau makan dengan nasi. Anda juga boleh membuat sosnya dan curah atas tofu atau makan bersama cili sos. Untuk intinya boleh digunakan apa-apa bahan sekali pun. Isi ayam, isi ketam atau pun isi udang. Untuk resipi ini saya gunakan isi udang. Udang dicincang dan digaulkan dengan bawang putih, bawang besar, daun bawang , cili, sos tiram, garam, putih telur dan gula secukup rasa. Kemudian inti ini disumbat dalam tofu dan digoreng. Memang sedap. Sebenarnya tofu sumbat ini ada beberapa jenis, cara melayu yang dihidang bersama sos kacang, cara Thai, cara Indonesia dan cara Cina. resipi ini adalah Chinese Style - Enak banget.

Salam Lin Tofu tu kalau makan saja kureng sebab tu orang selalu letak dalam kari mee dan laksa. Akak tenguk icip-icip kalau tak salah Chef Muluk buat. Resipi akak buat sendiri lebih kureng gitulah..Chef muluk pakai ayam. Memang sedap akak makan ni aje buat buka nasi tolak tepi...ha..ha
