MIDDLE EASTERN DESSERT - MUHALLABIA



Pudding ini terkenal di negara-negara teluk. Cuma 3 bahan digunakan, tepung beras, gula dan susu aje. Semua bahan dikacau diatas api kecil sehingga pekat. Sejukkan dan dihidang bersama taburan serbuk kayu manis dan kekacang, paling sedap kacang pistacchio...saya paling gemar pudding ini dan kerap menyediakannya semasa Ramadan......its silky smooth and soothing.




Muhallabia


  • 1 cup rice flour OR cornflour 
  • 1 cup granulated or caster sugar
  • 2/3 cups semi skimmed milk depending on desired consistency


The Method:

  1. Make a paste with the rice flour and sugar using 1/4 cup of the milk.
  2. Put on a medium heat in a saucepan and gradually pour the rest of the milk into the mixture.
  3. Continuously whisk the mixture for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Take off heat once the mixture has thickened and pour in cups.
  5. Garnish with cinnamon.
