LEMON RICE


Memang menarik, setiap 3 bulan saya akan membawa adik saya membuat medical check up di PPUM..dan biasanya akan makan setengah hari jugalah disana. Makanya sama ada breakfast atau lunch saya terpaksa makan di sans. Kini food courtnya semakin hebat,,,terdapat banyak chef terkenal dan restaurant yang menarik.

Resipi ini saya carbon copy dari sana..dari GRUB PPUM....katanya nasi campur Mat Saleh tapi peliknya ada daun kari..saya cuba Lemon Rice ini, sayur campur dan ayam bakar. Rasanya sedap jadi seperti biasa saya buat research dan mencari resipinya di net. 

Wow rupa-rupanya Lemon Rice ini adalah makanan dari Selatan India. Awalnya saya menyangka cara membutnya seperti butter rice atau nasi berani...rupanya salah telahan saya..nasi ini dimasak macam membuat nasi goreng. Rasanya lebih mantap kalau dapat basmathi.

Kalau inginkan resipi makan tengah hari atau makan malam yang ringkas resipi ini cukup sesuai.

2 cawan nasi masak
2 sdb jus lemon
1/4 sdt serbuk kunyit
garam secukup rasa
2 sdb minyak bijan
1 labu bawang besar dipotong dadu
1 sdt biji sawi
2 sdb urd dhal
2 sdb canna dhal
2 tangki daun kari
3 batang cili kering dipotong 3
1 biji cili hijau dihiris menyerong

Cara Membuatnya

Panaskan minyak dan tumis bawang besar sehingg layu



Masukkan bij dan biar seketika sehingga ia meletup

Masukkan urad dhal, Channa dhal, daun kari dan cili kering serta hirisan cili hijau


Masukkan serbuk kunyit dan garam secukup rasa

Masukkan jus limau ke dalam nasi diikuti dengan bahan tumisan tadi. Gaul rata dan siap dihidang

SPAGHETTI IN PESTO SAUCE


Resipi yang unik dan menarik. Pertama kali mencubanya di THEORY KITCHEN milik Chef Zam. Pada mulanya kurang mengemarinya tetapi selepas beberapa sudu  terasa sedap. Pulang rumah terus buat research dan book mark beberapa resipi. Akhirnya saya mengambil resipi dari Bon Appettite dan memilih "basil"...daun selasih sebagai bahan utama.

Membuatnya cukup mudah...basil dicelur kemudian diblend dengan bahan lain. Kebetulan di rumah ada beberapa ekor udang harimau..saya grill dan hidang bersama spaghetti ini. Cukup sedap dan sesuai buat makan malam bersama tamu anda.



Spaghetti in Pesto Sauce

Ingredients

2 cups (loosely packed) fresh basil leaves (about 2 bunches)
1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan plus more
1 1/2 tablespoons pine nuts
1 garlic clove, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup mild extra-virgin olive oil plus more for drizzling

Directions

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Set a colander in a large bowl of ice water (this will make it easier to strain the basil later). Working in batches, blanch basil for 10 seconds. Using a large slotted spoon, transfer basil to colander in ice water; let cool completely. Set aside 1/2 cup blanching water. Reserve pot with blanching water.

Drain basil by lifting colander from ice water. Using your hands, squeeze excess water from basil; transfer basil to paper towels. (You should have about 1/2 cup.)

Place blanched basil, 1/2 cup Parmesan, pine nuts, and garlic in a food processor. Pulse until well combined, adding blanching water by tablespoonfuls to thin if needed, and stopping occasionally to scrape down sides. Process until a smooth, thick purée forms, about 1 minute.

Transfer basil mixture to a medium bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup oil. Season to taste with salt.

SUPERHERO BUTTERCREAM BIRTHDAY CAKE

Wow..!!! when my friend wants a superhero cake for his family birthday...I was excited...time to let my imagination goes wild...ha...ha...I love the superheros color...but when he decided he wants it in buttercream....it was a nightmare for me....ha..ha..guess why? my hand are not stable and its hard for me to paint the logo.....so i decided to combine the cake with buttercream and fondant.

I covered the cake with buttercream and patch the cake with all the superhero logo's..alhamdulillah it went well...a bit tedious but the result was great...

This cake has 6 names....and I hope they love it...



PEACH PEONY AND TINY BLOSSOM HANTARAN CAKE

I loved this “hantaran" cake.  This bride loved the floral soft pastel color so I  incorporate it in the cake..just to match the “akad nikah pelamin”. I made simple pleat around the cake and stack all the bride favourites flowers…peony and tiny blossom. 

It echoed simplicity and elegant...obviously suit the occasion.
