I believe these cookies are among the favourite for 2013 EID MUBARAK. I saw these in many blog and many compliment these cookies so much. I talked to my friend what is the top cookies for this year, she mentioned the same. I asked her for the recipe and she told me  to .seem am curious about these cookies...I tried one batch. True enough these cookies were superb....crunchy and they turned out  perfect and delicious in every way. I was also thrilled to find that they were not difficult to make. Time consuming maybe, but so worth the effort

Rasanya cookies ni tidak  memerlukan pengenalan. Bagi yang mengikuti dan selalu inginkan pembaharuan kepada biskut raya tahun 2013 mungkin sudah menemui dan mencuba cookies ni. Kebetulan saya inginkan sesuatu yang lain dari raya-raya yang biasa jadi bertanyakan kawa..apakah kegilaan sekarang. Katanya red velvet cookies....dan memaklumkan pada saya di mana saya boleh mendapatkan resipi cookies ni...jadi saya terus ke dan terus mencuba. Ternyata benar memang sedap dan ranggup.bahanya pun mudah dan menyediakanya agak renyah sedikit tetapi sedap dan berbaloi.

Red Velvet Cookies
Ingredients A
  • 260 g butter / 260 g mentega
  • 140 g castor sugar / 140 g gula kastor
  • 40g shortening / 40 g lelemak sayur
  • 1 tsp baking soda / 1 sdt soda
  • 1 tsp strawberry paste / 1sdt pes strawberry
  • 1/2 tsp bright red colour / 1/2 sdt warna merah
 Ingredients B
 60 g ground almond / 60 g badam kisar kisar
 60 g nestum (ground) / 60 g nestum dikisar halus

 Ingredients C
300 g all purpose flour / 300 g tepung
20 g potata starch flour / 20 g tepung kentang
50 g cornflour /50 g tepung jagung

How to Make

  1. In a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix the butter and sugar together until just incorporated. Do not over-mix at this stage, or the cookies may spread while baking.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together ingredients B.  
  3. Whisk Ingredients C
  4. Add Ingredients B to ingredients C then add to the butter and egg mixture.  Mix on low speed until a dough is formed and there are no longer any streaks of butter in the mixing bowl. The dough will often clump around the paddle attachment while being mixed. This is normal and a good sign that your dough is the right consistency.  If your mixture does not come together and is crumbly, add ice cold water 1 tbsp. at a time until the dough clumps.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a sheet of wax paper and top with a second sheet.
  7. Roll dough to a ¼-inch to ½ -inch thickness.
  8. Cut out desired shapes from the dough and transfer to the prepared baking sheet. Be careful not to stretch the cutout shapes or they will be distorted after baking.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  10. Bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes.
  11. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack. Decorate the cookies when completely cooled.
  12. Drizzle with white chocolate

  1. Pukul mentega dengan gula sehingga bersatu. Jangan terlalu lama pukul
  2. Satukan bahan B dan Bahan C
  3. Masukkan bahan B dan C dalam bahagian butter tadi dan pukul sehingga sebati.
  4. Canai 1/2 " tebal dan terap dengan acuan....ikut suka bentuk yang digunakan
  5. Panaskan oven pada 350 " dan bakar biskut selama 15-20 minit
  6. Sejukkan biskut dan corekkan biskut dengan chocolate putih yang dicairkan
