CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM RECIPE


Menunaikan permintaan Azie saya letakkan di sini resipi chocolate buttercream yang selalu saya gunakan. Ia itu Wilton Chocolate Buttecream atau pun Swiss Buttercream yang dimasukkan chocolate yang dicair. Bergantung kepad cita rasa kedua-dua resipi ini memang sesuai dan sedap.




Chocolate Buttercream Recipe

Wilton Recipe


Ingredients


1/2 cup solid vegetable shortening
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup cocoa or three 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate squares, melted
1 teaspoon clear vanilla extract Easy-Add clear vanilla extract Add to shopping list clear vanilla extract
4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar (approximately 1 lb.)
3-4 tablespoons milk

Stiff Consistency: In large bowl, cream shortening and butter with electric mixer. Add cocoa and vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add milk and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Keep bowl covered with a damp cloth until ready to use. For best results, keep icing bowl in refrigerator when not in use. Refrigerated in an airtight container, this icing can be stored 2 weeks. Rewhip before using

Chocolate Swiss Buttercream

Ingredients
3 egg whites
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened but cool
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted

Instructions
  1. Place the egg whites and sugar in a large metal or glass bowl. Set the bowl over a pot of simmering water, and whisk, continuously, until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture looks opaque.
  2. Remove the bowl from the heat, add vanilla, and whip on high speed until completely cooled.
  3. Whip in the butter, a tablespoon at a time, until thick and fluffy. If it begins to look curdled, continue to whip until it comes back together, before adding in remaining butter.
  4. Fold in the melted chocolate.
