TEA LOAF



I'm a big fan of Anna Olson. I will stay up early as early as 5.30 am just to watch her TV program Sugar. Her recipes was definitely scrumptious and what I like so much about the show, the recipes there were easy to follow. I believe I have tried a couple of Anna Olson recipe and this Tea Loaf was one of it. I love this quick bread using earl grey tea. Raisins are infused with brewing tea for a couple of hours

This is an excellent recipe, so quick and easy and makes a lovely moist bread, ideal for anytime of day.

Ingredients
2 cups + 2 tbsp hot brewed earl grey tea
1 cup raisins
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup butter
6 tablespoons icing sugar, sifted


Tea Loaf
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Pour 2 cups hot Earl Grey tea over raisins and set aside to soak.
In medium bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and spices. Cut in butter until 

blended thoroughly.
Add tea with raisins and stir until smooth.
Pour into loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, when a tester inserted in the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then remove loaf from pan. Stir together remaining tea with icing sugar and brush over loaf.
To Assemble
Serve warm with sweet butter. Loaf will keep for 3 days wrapped well and at room temperature.

Sekarang ini saya sudah mempunyai minat baru, jadual  harian pun sudah berubah. Bangun pukul 4 pagi buat solat tahajud dan apa-apa solat yang patut, pukul 5 pagi saya sudah mengadap TV..untuk menonton dua program masakan kegemaran saya, pukul 5 pagi program Cook Like A Chef..suka saya tenguk Chef-chef dari restuarant ternama menyediakan hidangan mereka, 5:30 pagi saya saksikan pula Anna Olson dengan program Sugarnya.Banyak sudah apa yang ditunjukkanya saya suah cuba. Resipi-resipinya menarik dan mudah diikuti. Pas tu pukul 6 solat subuh dan siapkan sarapan dan terus mulakan tugas harian. Itulah rutin harian saya sekarang ini.

Resipi Tea Loaf ini adalah resipi yang saya ambil dari program Anna Olson. Resipi quick bread yang mudah dibuat dan sesuai dihidangkan bila-bila masa pun.

Sat2 tadi tgk egg benedict...ni tea loaf la pulak...byknya energy kak paty ni....hu hu...bestnya kalau dok sebelah rumah...he he..
