A scrumptious treat to end a meal. You can serve this as a dessert or as your HITEA menu. These puds have the texture of chocolate cake, moist and dense. You can serve with warm chocolate sauce or caramel sauce. You can make a head and heat up with microwave before serving. One thing that holds people back from baking all the cookies, cakes and brownies that they want to try is that they don’t know what to do with all of those goodies. One easy answer, of course, is to simply eat what you make – but a 9-inch layer cake is really too much for just a couple of people. An even easier answer is to make smaller batches, that are downsized to make very small portions. This recipe helps chocolate lovers to make a small batch of chocolate cake without compromising the quality of the cake.
- 85g self-raising flour , sifted together with ½ tsp baking powder
- 40g cocoa
- 40g ground almonds
- 125g butter , softened
- 100g golden caster sugar
- 2 eggs
- 100g dark chocolate
- 170ml double cream
Heat the oven to 180C/fan 160C/gas 4.
Mix the flour, cocoa and almonds. Cream the butter and sugar, then add the eggs and flour mix, plus 1 tbsp water. Fold everything together. Spoon into 6 150ml pudding moulds, put in a roasting tin with 1 cm boiling water, cover the lot with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes or until risen and cooked through.
Make the sauce by melting the dark chocolate with the double cream in a bowl set over a pan of gently simmering water. Serve the puds with the warm sauce poured over.

Amat umpphh... kalau dihidangkan bersama sos chocolate panas, whipped krim ataupun karamel sos. Paling enak dipanaskan dahulu dalam microwave sebelum dihidang.
