This is a great recipe which is spicy and delicious. I used the store bought Adabi's soup powder. Add some potatoes,celery, fresh tomatoes and carrot. A hearty soups for your soul. Absolutely delicious. Best serve with rice or bread.
Spicy Chicken Potato Soup / Sup Ayam Berempah
Source- Patyskitchen
1 chicken
(clean and cut into small pieces)
spices
1 packet Adabi soup powder
5 gloves garlic*
1 onion*
2" ginger*
1 tsp.
cloves
1 tsp.
cardamom
1 star anise
1 pc.
cinnamon
1 tbs. white
pepper (grind)
Grind ingredients marked * and mix with the soup powder. Set aside
2 jugs of
water (according to amount of soup you want)
1 carrot
(cut into small pieces)
5 pcs.
potato (cut into 4)
2 pcs tomato
(wedges)
1 celery cut into diagonal
2 pcs. fresh
green chillies (cut into half lengthwise)
1 stalk of
Chinese celery,spring onion,coriander leaves.
fried shallots
2 tbs. oil
salt to
taste
Method:
Heat oil
in pot and fry onions till soft..
Fry for 1
minute and add in the mix soup paste and spices except pepper. Fry for 2 minutes and add in 1 jug
of water.
Stir the
soup and add in the potatoes. Boil until the potatoes are soft.
When the
potato is soft,add another jug of water (the amount is according to the amount
of soup you want).
Add the corn flour mixture.This is to thicken the soup.
Add the
tomatoes,green chillies and carrot. Stir.
Add in
the pepper,salt,chicken and the leaves (coriander,Chinese celery,spring onion).
Add in
the fried onion. This is to thicken the soup and to balance the taste of the
soup.
Boil
until the chicken is cooked.
Remove
from the stove.Ready to serve. Garnish with spring onion and Chinese celery.

Sup ayam berempah yang yummy. Saya suka menghirup sup sebegini. Saya gunakan rempah sup adabi dan masukkan sedikit kentang, carrot, tomato dan celery. Cukup berempah dan manis yang datang dari sayur-sayuran tadi Sesuai makan bersama nasi mahupun roti. Untuk memekatkan kuah saya masukkan sedikit tepung jagung..tetapi kalau anda sukakan yang ceroi tinggalkan langkah ini. Untuk menambahkan kicknya senduk sedikit sambal kicap, taburkan daunbawang daun sup dan bawang goreng. Memang mantap
