Waldorf salad ini mempunyai sejarahnya sendiri, salad yang dicipta sekitar tahun 1893 di hotel Waldorf, New York City..adalah salad yang mengandungi ramuan seperti epal, celery, walnut yang digaul bersama mayo serta dihidang atas daun salad. Cukup sedap salad ini..boleh dimakan begitu aje atau dijadikan side untuk menu lain.
Epal boleh digunakan epal hijau atau merah. Untuk resipi kali ini saya masukkan sedikit kentang rebus dan pasta.

A Waldorf salad is a salad
generally made of fresh apples, celery and walnuts, dressed in mayonnaise, and
usually served on a bed of lettuce as an appetizer or a light meal.
The salad was first created
between 1893 and 1896 at the Waldorf Hotel in New York City (the precursor of
the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, which came into being with the merger of the Waldorf
with the adjacent Astoria Hotel, opened in 1897).] Oscar Tschirky, who was the
Waldorf's maître d'hôtel and developed or inspired many of its signature
dishes, is widely credited with creating the recipe. In 1896, Waldorf Salad
appeared in The Cook Book by "Oscar of the Waldorf"; the original
recipe did not contain nuts, but they had been added by the time the recipe
appeared in The Rector Cook Book in 1928.

YIELD: 4 PREP TIME: 15 minutes COOK TIME:- 2 biji kentang rebus dipotong dadu
- 2 cawan pasta rebus saya guna makaroni
- 2 biji epal hijau dipotong dadu
- 1 batang celery dipotong dadu
- 1 sdt serbuk lada hitam
- 1/2 cawan walnut panggang
- garam ecukup rasa
- 1/2 cawan mayo
- 2 sdb jus lemon
- daun salad - saya guna romaine
