I adapted the recipe from Rachel Ray, first i just don't know what to expect...by the glance of the ingredients it look's like I'm baking a savoury popover, but every one called this pizza puff and I couln't find the relations of this recipe with pizza or either puff. Or it could be the pepperoni and cheese that resembles pizza and the shape of the snack which resembles the puff....so let's leave this unanswered and let's talk about the snack itself.
Theses snack were fantastic...really soft and cheesy. Serve best with pizza sauce. Very satisfying and very filling. I made these for breakfast. Well if you plan to make one , avoid the cupcake papers. I made a blunder there..it made your life miserable..the cheese tend to stick to the cupcake paper, just pour your batter over the greased muffin tins, that's enough. For the topping you can use mushroom, pepperoni and green bell peppers, these three ingredients made a perfect trio. You can serve these as an appetizer too...Absolutely delicious!!!
Pepperoni Pizza Puffs

3/4 cup flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp oregano
3/4 cup whole milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
4 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded (about 1 cup)
2 oz pepperoni, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1/2 cup Pizza sauce
directions:
Pre-heat the oven to 375.
Lightly grease 18-24 mini muffin cups. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, garlic powder and baking powder. Stir in the milk and egg, then add in the mozzarella and pepperoni and mix together. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Briefly stir the batter and divide among the mini-muffin cups. Bake until puffed and golden, 20 to 25 minutes.
Meanwhile, microwave the pizza sauce until warmed through. Serve the pizza puffs with the pizza sauce for dipping.
Masa mula-mula hendak mencubanya agak was-was sedikit, katanya ini pepperoni pizza puff...di mana pizzanya saya tak nampak? di mana puffnya saya lagi tak nampak. Sekali lalu bila saya lihat bahan yang hendak digunakan..ianya banyak menyerupai "POPOVER" yang berinti tetapi kenapa tidak dinamakan popover dan kenapa dinamakan pizza? Ini pun menjadi misteri. Apa yang dapat saya kaitkan sajian ini dengan pizza ialah mungkin dengan penggunaak pepperoni dan mozerella cheese itu aje..dan mungkin ianya diselitkan puff..mungkin tidak mahu orang keliru denganya dan bentuknya mungkin ada sedikit puff.
Apa pun ia merupakan sajian yang lazat sesuai sebagai appetizer mahupun sajian sarapan pagi. Membuatnya pun mudah, bancuh aje semua bahan dan bakar..tetapi harus saya ingatkan di sini...jangan sekali-sekali ikut saya menggunakan paper cup...itu adalah salah satu tindakan yang tidak wajar. Adunan snack ini menggandungi keju dan bila diletakkan paper cup adunan akan melekar kepada kertas dan cukup sukar untuk membukarnya...saya terpaksa makan dengan sudu. Masak cara memasak kuih cara berlauk..cantik dan mudah dimakan. Paling sedap dihidang bersama soso Pizza gunaka sos Prego...tak usah cakap la..makan panas-panas....sekejap aje lincin pingan.
