NIGELLA'S CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS


This is another wonderful chocolate muffin recipe. Really easy to make and so good.
  
Nigella's Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Muffins - Heavily adapted from smallsmallbaker.com

INGREDIENTS  (makes 12 muffins)
250g plain flour / 250 gm tepung
2 tsp baking powder / 2 sdt baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda / 1/2 sdt baking soda
2 tbsp best quality cocoa powder / 2 sdb serbuk koko - I add more
175g caster sugar / 175 gm gula caster
150g chocolate chips (save 1/4 of the chips for sprinkling) / 150 gm coklat chips
250ml milk / 250 ml susu
90ml vegetable oil / 90 ml minyak sayur
1 large egg / 1 biji telur
1 tsp pure vanilla extract / 1 sdt vanilla

PREPARATIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 200 deg C. / Panaskan oven 200 C
2. Put the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cocoa, sugar, and 3/4 of the chocolate chips into a large bowl and mix well./Campurkan semua bahan kering dan 3/4 dari coklat chips ke dalam mangkuk
3. Pour all the liquid ingredients into a measuring jug and mix well. /Campurkan semua bahan basah dalam jug dan kacau sehingga sebati
4. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together with slow and gentle strokes. Stop stirring once the last traces of flour disappear. Do not overmix. A lumpy batter will ensure the muffins stay moist and fluffy./ Campurkan bahan basah dan bahan kering. Berhenti kacau apabila tepung yang terakhir tidak kelihat. Jangan terlebih kacau.
5. Spoon the batter into paper muffin cases./ Masukkan adunan dalam acuan muffins
6. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 chocolate chips on top and bake for 20 minutes or until the muffins are dark, risen and springy./ Taburkan 1/4 bahagian lagi coklat chips ke atas muffin dan bakar selama 20 minit atau sehingga masak.
