FONDANT RECIPE


Thank God I finally found the fondant recipe that is easy, reliable and won't failed....ha...ha..I almost gave up with the store bought fondant and this recipe really...really boost up my confidence back. No marshmallow....no messy...simple, easy and  can be used right away. This is really keeper and no more store bought fondant for me.


Fondant Recipe
Ingredients
  • 800 g pounds powdered sugar
  • 5 tbsp water
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin
  • 3 tablespoons glycerine
  • 2 tbsp liquid glucose
  • vanilla extract ½ teaspoon
  • almond extract ½ teaspoon
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, over medium low heat, dissolve the gelatin in the water.
  2. Once dissolved, remove from heat, and stir in the corn syrup and glycerine.
  3. Shift the sugar into a large bowl (don't skip this step!)
  4. Make a well in the sugar and pour the liquid mixture into the center.
  5. Stir well, (it will be messy at first)
  6. Once a dough begins to take shape
  7. Store wrapped tightly in plastic wrap in an air tight container.
  8. Makes enough to cover one 9"x3" round cake
