REFRESHING STRAWBERRY ICE TEA

Tea Plantation Panaroma - Courtesy of Google
One way of how I release my stress, was to drive up to Cameron Highland. Walking through the tea plantation and sipping fresh brew Tea at Boh Garden was something refreshing and relaxing.

A blissful silence surrounded by the visual impact of historic tea plantations and nature. The air was cool, but the morning sun was warm making the walk very pleasant. It's lovely surrounded by abundance of mother nature.

The tea there was wonder!!! mamamia ........try the iced peach tea and hot brew tea, it will knock your sock off!!!!

Trust me there is nothing more refreshing than spending an afternoon in a tea plantation with the cool free air and every time I was there, I will buy a few boxes of tea and one of my favourite is the strawberry tea.

Ghee.... I bought a few boxes if a sudden yearning came I "ll make the tea on my own and here's how you can make the Iced Strawberry Tea.
  1. 2 quarts (8 cups) water
  2. 3 strawberry tea bags (orange pekoe and pekoe cut black tea blend)
  3. 3/4 cup granulated sugar or one 16 ounce bottle light corn syrup
  4. 1/3 cup plus 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  5. Fresh Strawberry and lemon sliced
  6. Mint leaves

Preparation:

Boil the water in a large saucepan. When the water comes to a rapid boil, turn off the heat, put the tea bags into the water, and cover. After the tea has brewed about 1 hour, pour the sugar or sweetener into a 2-quart pitcher, then add the tea. The tea should still be warm, so the sugar or sweetener will dissolve easily. Add the lemon juice. (plus additional water if needed to bring the tea to the 2-quart line). Add strawberry and lemon slices and some mint leave. Chill.
