SUNDAY BREAKFAST - KOPITIAM TOAST WITH HALF BOILED EGG TOPPING/ MENU SARAPAN PAGI MINGGU TOS KOPITIAM

One of the items you can find in all Kopitiams is half boiled eggs and toast. I accidentally found      Hainanese kopitiam bread.(soft white bread without crust). and challenged myself to do the toast and half boiled eggs kopitiam style. My daughter Tyca loves this toast so much. We used to have it at our near by Medan Selera. Since I found the bread this time around I'm going to do it myself and really hope the eggs turn out well. Did some search on the net and have some helpful advice from Joylicious on Tips on Porching Eggs.

Applied her techniques and Alhamdullilah it works. If you wanna try here how I did it.

Just heat water in a pot until boiling, turn off the heat, add the eggs, and leave it for 6 minutes

(if the eggs are from the fridge) or 5 1/2 minutes (if eggs are room temperature). Toast the bread and top it with the half boiled eggs. As usual salts and peppers to taste.

To have nice hardboiled eggs, it is very important that your water is really boiling water and the eggs must be fresh.

Roti Bakar ala Kopitiam dah lama berhajat nak buat, tapi tulah tak terjumpa pula roti kopitiam.
