LEMONGRASS ICED TEA / TEH AIS SERAI

LEMONGRASS GINGER ICED TEA



This refreshing drink gets most of its flavor from lemongrass and ginger. Garnish this tea beverage with lemongrass and ginger. Delicious and unique, this punch recipe gives ordinary tea a little zing. Simply boil jasmine tea with lemongrass and ginger to allow the flavors to blend. Chill overnight before serving.

INGREDIENTS
  • 5 jasmine tea bags /5 uncang teh melur
  • 1/2  cup  sugar / 1/2 cawan gula
  • 1 lemon grass / 1 batang serai
  • 3 tbsp ginger slices / 3 sdb hirisan halia

  • PREPARATION
Combine 5 cups water and sugar in a heavy saucepan; bring to a boil. Cook until sugar dissolves; remove from heat. Add lemongrass, tea bags, and ginger; steep 5 minutes. Strain mixture through a sieve into a pitcher; discard solids. Add remaining 2 cups water stir well. Chill overnight. Serve over ice, and garnish with lemongrass, if desired. /  Masak 5 cawan air bersama gula hingga gula larut. Masukkan uncang teh, serai yang dititik dan halia. Rendam selama 5 minit. Tambah lagi 2 cawan air. Kacau rata, tapis dan sejukkan semalaman. Hidang dengan ais dan serai jika suka.
