COOKING FOR ONE - BROCCOLI SHITAKE


There are time when we have to eat alone...when facing such situation at home I normally made a simple meal its either bread or rice with vegetables. 

This Broccoli Shitake is  probably my favorite. Simple fast and healthy and importantly easy to prepare....ha...ha that's the aim...easy meal for home alone



Broccoli Shitake

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 7 shitake mushroom
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • ½ lime, juice only
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper


Method

  1. Heat the olive oil in a wok, add the broccoli and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until starting to soften, then add the garlic and shitake and fry for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add the soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, salt and freshly ground black pepper and fry for 1-2 minutes, or until the broccoli is tender.
  3. To serve, spoon the stir-fry into a bowl and serve as a side dish.
