Masak Lomak Pucuk Paku dan Kerang
600gm cleaned wild fern shoots1-1/2 cups water1 cup thickcoconut milk500 g cockles – cook and drain the watersalt to tastePounded paste :9 shallots25 bird eyes chillies2” turmeric roots1 turmeric leaf thinly sliceMethod :Preheat frying pan with enough cooking oil.Add in pounded ingredients and saute untill fragrantAdd in water and salt, bring to boil.Place in the clean fern shoots and cook for about 2 mins.Finally, add in coconut milk and cook for another 2 mins.Add in the cook cockles and turmeric leafOff the heat, once the fern shoots became tender.
Saya mula memasak cara ini apabila saya berkunjung ke rumah kawan...memang menyelerakan..biasanya saya masak sayur pucuk paku ini begitu aje..tak pernah terlintas untuk masaukkan kerang sekali..tetapi di sini di Ipoh begitulah cara memasaknya..masak lemak dimasak bersama kerang atau siput belitong...sedap makan dengan nasi panas dan sambal belacan.
