GOOD MORNING MALAYSIA, TODAY BREAKFAST MENU - EGG SANDWICH / SELAMAT PAGI MALAYSIA MENU SARAPAN PAGI - SANDWICH TELUR


Egg Sandwich again...!!! yeah, my daughter Tyca made it yesterday for breakfast and for her picnic, today by popular demand from the kids I made it again for breakfast, may be yesterday portion left by Tyca was too small for her sisters. Of all  the sandwiches, egg sandwich is the top on the list for my children. They love it bare, no lettuce, no tomato and no cucumber, if you see in the photo I put all the salads  beside the sandwich instead of laying it in the bread. Who ever which to have the salad then it has to be DIY.

Tyca yesterday recipe was for 1 sandwich, today to ease on budgeting I made the recipe for one large loaf of bread (the Gardenia bread). So the next time if you plan to make egg sandwich you know, what are the required quantity of eggs to be used. 

EGG SANDWICH

This recipe is for a one large loaf of bread.

INGREDIENTS

  •  8 -10 hard-boiled* eggs (large), peeled and chopped
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise or 1 small packet of mayo (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • leaf of lettuce
  • tomatoes cut into ring
  • cucumber cut into ring
  • 2 slices white bread
To make hard boiled eggs, place a few eggs in a saucepan, cover with at least an inch of water, preferable 2 inches. Add a half teaspoon of vinegar and some salt to the water (if the shells crack while boiling, the vinegar will help keep the egg in the shell). Cover the pan and bring the water to a boil. As soon as the water begins to boil, remove the pan from heat and let it sit, covered, for 12 minutes. Drain the water from the pan, add cold water to cool the eggs, let sit a couple minutes longer.

PREPARATIONS

1 Mash up the chopped egg a bit with a fork. Mix together the chopped hard-boiled egg, mayonnaise. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Mix with a spoon.
Spred butter to your bread. Put a layer of lettuce on one slice of  bread, spread the egg mixture on top of the lettuce, put tomato and cucumber and top another slice of  bread on top.
Makes one sandwich.

Minat betul budak-budak ni dengan sandwich telur, agaknya semalam terkulat-kulat makan tidak cukup, mana taknya Tyca angkut habis semua tinggalkan sedikit untuk adik-adiknya. Hari ini atas permintaan, kenalah saya  lagi.Resipi yang Tyca sediakan semalam ialah untuk 1 keping roti , resipi saya hari ini ialah untuk 1 buku besar (Roti Gardenia). Bagi memudahkan bajet saya syorkan untuk satu buku besar gunakan 8-10 biji telur dan 1 packet kecil mayo. Sebaik-baiknya 8 biji telur sudah memadai. Mayo supaya tidak terlalu masam dan ngam-ngam rasanya saya selalu gunakan yang packet kecil atau bolehlah gunakan 2-3 sdb. Lain-lain sayuran ikut citarsa masing-masing.

Kalau dilihat pada gambar saya tidak meletakkan sayuran dalam roti sebaliknya saya letakkan di luar. Ini bukanya apa-apa, biasalah budak-budak kalau kita masukkan sayuran di dalam, diumpilnya keluar, jadi saya letak sebelah, sesiap yang berminat sayur bolehlah letakkanya sendiri, mudah tak membazir, kalau pun sayur itu tak luak, boleh juga digunakan buat salad untuk makan tengah hari. Ok setakat itu untuk pagi ini, jumpa tengah hari nanti untuk menu lunch dan minum petang.
