EGGS AND SAUSAGE FRIED RICE/NASI GORENG SOSEJ DAN TELUR PECAH


Converting leftovers to a yummy food is sometimes interesting. Sometimes a trial and taste will give you a new recipe and sometimes unexpectedly you will love it. Eggs and Sausage Fried Rice is a result of one such recipe, which my children gave a good rating on the outcome of this recipe.  As I was not in a mood to cook or even dine out. I thought of making fried rice. Yesterday seem to be the laziest moment of life, may be due to the hectic work schedule or could be my sugar level. So one pot meal seem to be a good idea to feed the hungry tummies.

Eggs and Sausage Fried Rice is a yummy one pot meal. You either pack this for lunch or relish it as a brunch on one of those really lazy days. Just by adding handful of capsicum, smashed eggs and sausage is given a new look and new taste. Try this  friend rice for a change. Simple delectable medley of eggs, capsicum and sausage gives an aromatic flavor to the recipe.




Egg & Sausage Fried Rice /  Nasi Goreng Sosej Telur

INGREDIENTS:
4 cups Rice, cooked and cooled / 4 cawan nasi 
1/2 cup capsicum diced / 1/2 cawan cili Banggala Hijau potong dadu.
2 eggs beaten / 2 biji telor digoreng pecah-pecah
3 chicken sausage diced / 3 sosej ayam potong dadu.
1 tbsp Garlic paste / 1sdb bawang putih yang ditumbuk
1 onion diced / 1 bawang besar dipotong dadu.
2 tsp pepper / 2 sdt lada sulah
1 stalk spring onion diced / 1 tangkai daun bawang dimayang halus
Salt to taste/ garam secukup rasa
5 tbsp vegetable oil / 5 sdb minyak sayur
METHOD
  1. In a heavy bottom coking vessel add oil, to this add garlic paste. When the garlic start to leave the aroma add onions, once the onions are soft add capsicum and sausage, pepper and salt to taste./ Panaskan minyak tumis bawang putih sehingga naik baunya. Masukkan bawang besar goreng agak layu, baru masukkan cili bengala, sosej, lada sulah dan garam secukup rasa.
  2. Now add cooked and cooled rice, and scrambled eggs./ Masukan nasi dan telur yang digoreng tadi.
  3. Mix well and cook covered till all the flavours blend together./ Kacau rata sehingga bahan-bahan ini menyaluti nasi sepenuhnya.
  4. Garnish with spring onions, cucumber and tomato ./Padamkan api angkat dan hiaskan dengan daun bawang timun dan tomato.

Semalam ialah hari-hari yang malas dalam hidup saya. Mungkin kerana kata orang Indonesia "kecapek-an" atau mungkin kerana kadar kandungan gula tinggi dalam badan. Rasanya tak bermaya nak masak dan nak keluar makan pun agak malas.Walaubagaimana perut yang berkerongcong tetap perlu diisi. Jadi satu-satunya menu untuk waktu-waktu malas ialah Nasi Goreng. Kebetulan ada lebihan sosej dari sarapan pagi jadi saya buat Nasi Goreng Sosej Telur Pecah.

Kata Chef Wan main campak-campak aje. Well tak sangka resipi simple ini enak juga, mungkin keenakannya datang dari combinasi aroma cili benggala dan bawang putih. Untuk menambahkan lagi selera saya hidangkan sekali dengan Ayam Percik, dari Ayamas. Wala...... sapa sangka menjadi satu menu yang menarik. Sebagai perubahan cubalah resipi ini.
